Quoddy Head State Park, Maine

Quoddy Head State Park encompasses 540 acres on the tip of a peninsula which juts into the North Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the Bay of Fundy. This is the easternmost point of land in the continental United States.
Karen and I savored the few hours we spent there, picnicing, drinking in the spectacular views and walking a portion of the 4.5 miles of hiking trails along the coast. The park also has extensive forests, two bogs and a few rocky offshore islands. Together they provide a diverse habitat for wildlife as well as rare plants. The West Quoddy Head Lighthouse is adjacent to the park.
Operation Dates: May 15 - October 15
